ABOUT BEL

Bel has a background in dance and gymnastics and has been teaching for over 25 years. In addition to Yoga, she teaches Pilates and dance and works as a personal trainer. Bel was a competitive rhythmic gymnast, representing NZ at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and 1995 World Champs. She then went on to a 20-year career as a professional dancer and performer.

Bel’s classes emphasize personal awareness and movement integration through an approach which honours sound physical technique, a love of form and breath and an exploration of the space in which all these aspects collide. Bel provides a platform of curiosity, exploration and play while encouraging space for individual expression. She is extremely passionate and curious about movement in all forms and is especially interested in injury mitigation and rehab. She combines her experience and knowledge of yoga with her love for teaching, to help others find joy, freedom, strength and confidence through movement.
